What you become a part of:
The successful candidate will drive the marketing strategy, product/ brand positioning and guide field force to maximize Shalina’s business performance and augment market share in Kinshasa.
What to expect:
- Implement central marketing strategy (operational plans, brand & promotional-mix) to meet Shalina’s regional performance and revenue targets in collaboration with sales and other stakeholders.
- Implement local strategies based on product performance on a monthly & quarterly basis in discussions with sales & operational team.
- Align with local sales team for better collaboration on planning marketing strategies.
- Identify, engage and maintain relationships with KOLs in the region.
- Engage the field sales force, key enterprise customers and other resources to capture regional response to promotional activities and campaigns.
- Support the design and periodic review of differential pricing strategy in the region for all brands.
- Support the identification of new products with high determination to establish them well in first six months.
- Monitor regional consumer/ customer/ market needs, competition and business performance to proactively provide the field sales force with adequate support.
- Conduct regional training programs to impart product knowledge to field sales force.
- Collect and analyze regional primary/ secondary sales data to present monthly dashboard reports to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with other functions such as Medical Affairs, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Regulatory etc. to create synergy.
Essential qualifications, experience and skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy/ Life Sciences, tertiary qualifications such as MBA in Marketing highly preferred.
- Min. 8 years’ experience in driving regional marketing strategy within a multi-country, matrix pharmaceutical company.
- Good knowledge of working on ROI of any given marketing activity.
- In-depth knowledge of promotional inputs planning, including samples, promo inputs & PR building exercises.
- Strong business acumen to create major brands in the region.
- Excellent consulting and communication skills, with the ability to influence customers and internal stakeholders.
- Strong collaboration skills to partner with functional teams, agency partners and business teams.
- Strong communication skills to push on ground activation agenda.
- Strong analytical skills, understanding consumer needs/ trends and problem-solving approach.
- Experience of working cross-culturally with diverse colleagues in a complex multi-country, matrix environment is preferred.
- Prior experience of working in Africa and proficiency in French language is preferred.
