Job Description:
Harness our Christian Faith identity
1.1 Support F&D Manager and People and Culture plan and implement Mission Immersion Programme (MIP) to ensure leaders and staff have knowledge and understanding of World Vision’s Core Documents inclusive of Faith and Development policies and grow in the commitments to the same.
1.2 Support staff-led planning of activities for staff Christian formation to strengthen the organization’s culture and help leaders and staff speak confidently about how their Christian faith strengthens our ministry effectiveness [This is inclusive of devotional calendar development, planning for WVI calendar events like Day of Prayer].
Programmes
2.1 Provide guidance to Technical Programmes, HEA and Fragile Context programmes, and advocacy teams in the quality design and implementation of F&D Core Project Models – i.e. Channels of Hope, Celebration of Families, Empowered Worldview and other approaches;
2.2 Support capacity building for quality implementation of Faith and Development Core Project Models and spiritual nurture of children approaches.
2.3 Work collaboratively with Programme Quality/MEAL/Programme Effectiveness teams to adapt existing monitoring tools/develop new tools to improve on impact reporting.
2.4 Ensure implementation fidelity of the ‘LCC’ project and accurate and timely reporting. 2.4 Expanded LCC projects coordination and implementation (including our work in Beni by the Hackmans)
- Provide technical support and overall coordination, planning, designing, implementing and evaluating the Every Last One –Let Children Come Project (ELO – LCC) grant.
- Facilitate Networking and collaborating with Spiritual Nurture partners across LCC project sites.
- Offer supervision to LCC project staff to ensure overall quality and comprehensive management of the project.
- Provide technical support CESP and other staff implementing F&D grant
2.5 Intentional focus of Faith and development project management in fragile contexts. Ensure:
- quality and timely planning and submission of project budget top ensure timely implementation;
- sound financial management of budgets, with financial reporting meeting required standards, working collaboratively with the finance team;
Partnerships with Churches and other Faith Organizations for impact, influence and income
3.1 Collaborate with the Associate Director for Advocacy to develop and implement an external engagement strategy targeting donors, DRC national and provincial governments, churches, organizations and faith-based bodies for Child Wellbeing to support the achievement of child well-being outcomes and the achievement of relevant SDGs;
3.2 Work collaboratively with WV sector leaders to ensure healthy and performing partnerships with Churches and other Faith Based Organizations for peace building by ensuring effective utilization of conflict sensitivity tools and frameworks in the assessment, design, implementation, evaluation [as per LEAP guidance] and promotion of community participation in initiatives to contribute to recovery, resilience and transformation;
3.4 Support for the planning and implementation deployment and implementation of the ENOUGH Global Campaign.
3.5 Support the National Office Partnering Focal Point Person and management to position WV as a peacebuilding partner of choice by:
- promoting the Empowerment of Children as Peacebuilders (ECaP) to improve the knowledge, skills, values and attitudes of children and young people, and strengthen their participation in peacebuilding;
- supporting the diversification and growth of the peacebuilding program technical support in the development of proposals consistent with the WVI peacebuilding initiatives/policies and the DRC country strategy;
- Supporting capacity building efforts to ensure that staff, FBO and other partners and other stakeholders have relevant knowledge and skills in peacebuilding and peacebuilding tools, frameworks and approaches.
- participate and contribute to regional peacebuilding such as the Great Lakes Initiative and other relevant platforms.
Spiritual Nurture of Children
4.1 Collaboratively engage with child focused ministries/agencies in the identification, adaptation and implementation of relevant child nurture content;
4.2 Facilitate planning and implementation of age specific SNC capacity enhancement of faith leaders, parents and care givers, children and youth leaders and other volunteers to enable effective facilitation of learning, value formation, life-skills adolescent holistic nurture of children and youth.
4.3 Track the implementation of the 3 F&D Core Project Models (Channels of Hope, Empowered World View, and Celebrating Families) and monitor how these are changing norms, values, beliefs and practices that are barriers to child wellbeing.
4.4 Provide on-going coaching of community level peer support groups to ensure sustainability of SNC programmes.
Impact
5.1 Ensure that baseline and project evaluation processes are conducted and that baseline and evaluation quality reports are submitted on time
5.2 Strengthen evidence of the integration of our Faith and Development Core Project Models into ministry practices, and campaigns through case studies, communication of most significant change stories and other innovations.

Qualifications: Education/Knowledge/Technical Skills and Experience
The following may be acquired through a combination of formal or self-education, prior experience or on-the-job training:
Minimum Qualification required:
Bachelor of Theology, Biblical Studies, Development ,3 years of experience in leading Christian leadership
Core values and knowledge: conceptual understanding and commitment to development and humanitarian work among the poor. Knowledge of and commitment to fundamental principles and understanding of Christian, child-centered and community-based development concepts, approaches and processes.
Adaptive personal skills: ability to think critically and reflect. Willingness to take calculated risks to enable learning. Commitment to continuous learning for self-development.
Communication skills: strong interpersonal skills and solid skills in speaking and writing French & English, as required, both written and spoken. Strong computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and email.
Development Facilitation: Skills in facilitating development processes, including networking between different development partners such as faith-based organizations (FBOs), government, churches and worldview staff and their respective roles and responsibilities.
Leadership skills: skills in leading, building and supporting a team with diverse roles and abilities. Promote spiritual growth and staff development.
Must be a committed Christian, capable of standing above confessional and ethnic diversities.
Lead, attend, and participate in daily devotions.
Perform other tasks as needed.
